Established from a genuine love of preserving fruit from local farms, Three Dancing Bears is based in Columbia County, NY. All our fruit is picked from family farms like Eger Brothers, Meisner’s Heritage Farm, and Samascott Orchards.

Our farm-fresh ingredients have no store-bought pectin (lemon is high in pectin!) and much less sugar than modern jams. The fruit is slowly cooked over two days, allowing the natural sugars to seep out, providing sweetness. The preserves and jams add flavor to oatmeal, yogurt, blintzes, toast, and my personal favorite, Saltines. For peak flavor, consume within 9 months of purchase.

Three Dancing Bears is a nod to my love of actual bears and The Grateful Dead. I am proud that 10% of all proceeds go directly to the Great Bear Foundation (greatbear.org), whose mission is “to conserve the eight bear species and their habitats worldwide.”

So far I’ve made 79 small batches during COVID semi-quarantine, which is why I say “Yes to jam! No to people.”

I truly hope you enjoy it. And let’s save the bears.
